Wed 23 Feb Burton Hastings

Yesterday afternoon after sorting our selves out in the basin we walked into town to visit the Herbert Art Gallery, there is an " interesting " exhibition on by Daniel Listmore .

We have had 2 takeaways from Jinseon Korean BBQ so tonight we decided to go there to eat and cook our our own dinners on a BBQ let into the centre of the table. When we got back to the canal basin the wind had died away to nothing and there were three people sailing model boats on the cut, complete with navigation lights.

This morning the first task was to go to Playwrights for a full English breakfast, this was followed by a visit to the Polish shop for fish and other odds and ends followed by the Portuguese shop for cakes, well stocked up we were on our way.
I expect the basin is busy tonight as we met 5 boats on their way down and the other 5 were still there when we left. Again as soon as we set off the rain started, very fine unlike the downpours we have experienced this trip. We stopped at Hawkesbury Junction to dump rubbish and fill with water, not the fastest tap on the system. Once that was done we headed off to stop at Christine and Terry's to return the laptop charger they had lent me, which unfortunately didn't fit my computer. After a coffee and too long a chat we were away again, off down the Ashby canal.
